Christopher M Pattinson: Commitment and Excellence

Christopher Mark Pattinson’s swimming career reflects dedication to craft and competition, marked by perseverance and national representation. This site shares his personal stories and milestones. Christopher Mark Pattinson was born January 1960 in Darlington. He attended Hummersknott School Darlington from 1971-1976 where he was a member of the swimming team that won the English Schools Swimming Team Championship in 1975. In 1976 he was the Division One English Schools 100m Butterfly Champion. In 1974 Pattinson was tipped to be the next Mark Spitz by the Daily Mirror Newspaper

His Swimming training started at Darlington ASC where he was coached by Eric Wilkinson before moving to Leeds Central Swimming Club in 1976 to be coached by Terry Denison who went on to be Great Britain National Swimming coach. At Leeds he trained with a number of other International Swimmers including Andrew Astbury and Peter Robinson. His father used to drive him from Darlington to Leeds to train for 2 hours, 5 days a week in the Leeds 50m International Pool a round trip of 132 miles.

His Medical career started at Darlington Memorial Hospital in 1980 where he specialised in Orthopaedic Surgery. He left the Hospital in 1985 to pursue a career in Orthopaedic Medical Devices where he worked for Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics for 11 years with his final position at the company being responsible for the European Orthopaedic Market consisting of 15 European Countries.

In 2003 he set up an Dermatology Company Revitalise UK with a Salon in High Street Kensington and Harley Street London. The company was sold in 2010 to a division of Estee Lauder. He was the CEO at CMP-Productions a Public Relations and Entertainment company that was set up in 2016 with an Office in Mayfair London and Los Angeles but has now retired due to being in very poor health. He was recently interviewed by Dotun Adebayo on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Founder of Revitalise-UK Skincare in 2003 with a Salon in Kensington and Harley Street London.
